Our SMU Chapter

The Theta Kappa chapter of Delta Delta Delta was founded at Southern Methodist University on February 2, 1916. Since our founding, Tri Delta has remained one of the most active Greek chapters on the SMU campus, leading the Greek community in intramurals, campus involvement, and academic achievements. A commitment to excellence is evident in Tri Delta's contribution in extracurricular activities such as Mustang Corral, Student Foundation, Student Senate, business clubs, community service, religious organizations, and the SMU Soccer, Cheerleading, and Equestrian teams.

Our Tri Delta house, located on 3100 University Boulevard, was built in 1954 and has since become a place where hundreds of women have called home. Currently, the chapter has 32 resident members, and is also open to all the active members who stop by for meetings, studying, and relaxing with friends.

SMU Tri Deltas excel in many areas, but we are especially proud of our continuous academic achievements, our strong sisterhood, and philanthropic endeavors. Tri Deltas have been number one in grades for over eleven consecutive years among SMU Panhellenic Chapters. In order to enhance sisterhood throughout our chapter and maintain a perpetual bond of friendship, we hold "Deltas Only" events and our annual chapter retreat. Not only do Tri Deltas contribute to their philanthropy events, many of our members are actively involved in the Dallas community through tutoring and volunteering at local hospitals.
